Introduction

Microsoft hosts a range of independent software vendors (ISV’s) in its marketplaces. There, users can visit different vendors' pages and potentially purchase their services offered online.

The Microsoft Marketplace is divided into 2 different ecosystems:

  • Azure Marketplace

  • AppSource

Azure Marketplace caters more to IT professionals and developers, while AppSource is focused on business decision makers. AppSource generally hosts products intended as SaaS offerings, as well as extending to the full suite of Microsoft flagship products such as Azure, Dynamics 365, Office 365, and PowerBI. The Azure Marketplace, on the other hand, caters to customers with more established businesses and largely in the corporate and enterprise tier of customers (>5,000 employees).

Hive Streaming solutions are present in both AppSource and the Azure Marketplace. This article will outline how a customer can purchase Hive services through either of these 2 ecosystems hosted by Microsoft.

Pre-Requisites
