Microsoft Live Assistance

Microsoft can assist your organization with an upcoming live event with a service called Microsoft Live Events Assistance.

This service is available for customers looking at Live Events using Stream, Teams and/or Yammer, and is still offered at no cost during a preview phase program. Microsoft Live Events Assistance offering is staffed by a team of Microsoft engineers. This effort is meant to reduce friction during the adoption of Microsoft Live Events by providing phone/chat support for up to four hours before, during, and after an event.

Large Scale Events during COVID-19 Pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Microsoft has also pushed through the ability for selected customers to increase the current limit for active concurrent viewers of a Microsoft Stream produced Live Event above 10,000. Any increases which are granted by Microsoft prior to the event, will be temporary for one-off events while COVID-19 runs its course. This capability is up to 100 000 Live Viewers when using Stream and will expire on 2020 July 1st : https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-stream-blog/attendee-limit-increase-for-live-events-hosted-with-microsoft/ba-p/1265948

Please note this is for Microsoft Stream with external encoder events only, however Live viewers can use the Microsoft Teams desktop App to watch the Event using Hive WebRTC, or any compatible internet browser.
