What is Hive Live Monitor?
One benefit of using Hive Distribution is to optimize and improve your video events to provide as good quality of experience for your viewers as possible. Another benefit is to be able to track your video events in real-time, as well as historically, to be able to analyze just how well it went and how the viewers experienced the video. The Hive Live Monitor is the analytics tool for all live and historical events. Users can view the event analysis in real-time or historically. Additionally, a user can select a specific time range.
Access Hive Live Monitor
Go to Hive Live Monitor view by logging in the /wiki/spaces/HKB/pages/811729647. Go to Video menu, and click a video on the list.
Real-time vs. Historical view
During an ongoing video, you can choose to view the data get updated in real-time or statically in the historical view. Once the Live event is over, the Real-time view is disabled, but you can always find the analysis in the Historical tab. For VoD, only the Historical view is available.
Time range selection
The default time range of the graphs is from the first viewer joined the video event to the last one. At the top of the Live Monitor page, you can specify the time range you are interested in.
Another way of selecting the time range is to mark a section of any of the graphs having time on the X axis.
To reset the time range to the default time range, click the Reset button to the right of the time selector.
