What if most viewers of the Microsoft Stream event report only HiveStats even when the HIVE Agent is deployed?

If an unexpected number of viewers of a Microsoft Stream live event “fall back” to HiveStats rather than use an installed HIVE Agent, there are two possibilities:

  1. Network security settings on the customer network may have changed. If the HIVE deployment was dependent on manual network configuration, it’s possible required Hive Streaming HTTPS traffic is no longer permitted.

  2. The Microsoft Stream Admin may have configured an Agent timeout setting too aggressively.
