What are the technical limitations of Hive and Kaltura MediaSpace?

Other known technical limitations

A.) A technical limitation currently prevents the use of Hive with Webcasts that have multiple audio streams.

  • If you are using Kaltura Cloud Transcode and your transcoding profile includes multiple “Audio only” flavors for different language streams, disable these audio flavors.



Note: Cloud Transcode flavor listing. If your Cloud Transcode has “Audio only” flavors, disable them for Hive-enabled streaming.


B.) Kalture has a normal DRM encryption to their system, but it is not support by webRTC. The request of the key is not recognized and it is blocked by webRTC. To support the DRM in webRTC is in our backlog.
