How do I view Live Video with HIVE for Workplace?
Once Hive Streaming is enabled for your Workplace community, all of your Community's live video events will be HIVE-enabled going forward. No other configuration is necessary.
During streaming video playback, the Hive Streaming service will be completely transparent to the end-user. They will watch the video content normally.
The behavior of the Hive Streaming service on each individual endpoint will vary based on your configuration and the viewer's web browser.
Viewers using a supported web browser will automatically join with other viewers running supported browsers to optimize performance and reduce traffic on the network. Viewers that do not have a supported web browser may still view the event, but will receive their own unicast video stream, increasing traffic on the network.
If your organization has deployed the HIVE Agent on end-user's computers, the viewer will automatically benefit from HIVE's optimal distribution service. Viewers without the Hive Agent may still benefit from distribution (and reduce network traffic) if they are running a HIVE WebRTC-supported browser.
