Licensing HIVE

Enterprise install base model

Hive Streaming offers two methods of video distribution, installable Agent and browser-based WebRTC.  Customers may seek a standalone HIVE WebRTC-based service or the complete pipeline (HIVE Agent + HIVE WebRTC).

There are three separate volume-tiered price lists for each option that use the price models described in the chart.

View Based License (VBL)

The customer commits to a yearly pool of VBLs

A VBL is activated when a Hive enabled video is viewed. The viewing session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity.

The customer only pays for their current needs and commits to a yearly license pool based on the number of views.

Installed Endpoints

Per-seat licensing - The customer pays for the total number of users with HIVE's technology installed on their devices, typically all employees

Predictable fixed cost for budgeting purposes.

Devices

The customer pays for the maximum number of active devices each month

Customers make a volume commitment with a true-up for any overage

Gives the customer the flexibility of having the cost track with activity

Supported by both HIVE Agent-based deployments and HIVE WebRTC

Flex
Buckets

The customer buys a bucket of monthly active device licenses to be used over next year

There is a true-up for any overage when the contract ends.

With an annual commitment, customers receive the flexibility of active device licensing, at a lower unit price point

Supported by both HIVE Agent-based deployments and HIVE WebRTC

Partners are paid for each registered opportunity that results in a sale. Referral partners are paid a commission after Hive is paid by the customer. Resellers and Distributors purchase HIVE technology at a discount, adding margin when they resell to a customer.

Add pricing for Add-on products such as VI, adhoc silent testing, white glove services.
